Privacy Policy

MePhone is committed to protecting your privacy. We only collect personal information that is necessary to provide our services and meet our obligations to you.
We will not sell, rent, or disclose your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. Your information will only be shared where necessary to provide our services, comply with legal requirements, or work with trusted service providers who are required to protect your information.
We take reasonable steps to safeguard your personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, or alteration.
MePhone respects your privacy and is committed to handling your personal information responsibly and securely. Repair Authorisation & Parts Policy MePhone makes every reasonable effort to successfully repair each device. However, some damage or faults may not become apparent until the device has been opened and inspected. This is particularly common with devices that have suffered drops, impacts, liquid damage, or previous damage, where internal components may have faults that cannot be identified before dismantling.
In some cases, additional faults may prevent the device from being fully repaired, particularly if the required replacement components are unavailable.
Parts that need to be specially ordered must be paid for in full before they are ordered. Once you have authorised and paid for a part to be ordered for your repair, the part becomes your property and the cost of that part is non-refundable, except where required by Australian Consumer Law.
By authorising the repair, you give MePhone permission to open your device, carry out the agreed repair work, and install the parts you have authorised and paid for.
This policy does not exclude or limit any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

We will handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and will not sell your personal information to third parties. Device PIN & Privacy
MePhone will only request your device PIN or passcode when it is necessary to properly diagnose, test, or verify a repair.
Your PIN or passcode will only be used for the purpose of testing your device. It will not be stored electronically on any computer or server and will be securely destroyed once it is no longer required.
We respect the privacy of your personal information and will only access areas of your device that are reasonably necessary to diagnose, test, or complete the authorised repair. Credit Card Information
Any credit or debit card details provided to MePhone over the phone, including the card number, expiry date and CVV, will only be used to process the authorised payment.
MePhone does not record, retain or store your card details in any form. Card information will not be written down, saved electronically, or stored on any computer, device or server belonging to MePhone.

Screen Repair & 120-Day Warranty MePhone provides a 120-day warranty from the date of repair on screen repairs and replacement parts supplied and fitted by MePhone, subject to the conditions below.
The warranty covers faults or defects relating specifically to the part replaced by MePhone. It does not cover unrelated faults or components that were not replaced as part of the original repair.
The warranty does not cover damage caused after the repair, including damage resulting from drops, impacts, cracked or broken glass, bending or twisting of the device, liquid or water damage, misuse, or the device being opened, altered or repaired by the customer or another repairer.
If you believe a replacement part is defective, please contact MePhone as soon as possible and within the 120-day warranty period.
Where a device has previously been repaired, opened or modified by another person or repairer, MePhone cannot accept responsibility for the quality of that previous work or for pre-existing damage or faults that become apparent during our repair. Devices that have suffered previous impact or physical damage may also have hidden internal damage that is not visible until the device is opened or tested.
Modern screen glass can be highly resistant to breakage. However, the force from an impact may still be transferred to components beneath the glass, potentially causing internal damage even when the outer glass appears undamaged.
Unless otherwise agreed, MePhone may use a high-quality compatible or aftermarket replacement screen rather than an original manufacturer screen. Compatible screens supplied and fitted by MePhone are covered by the same 120-day warranty, subject to this warranty policy.
Data & Backups
Customers are responsible for backing up all important information before providing a device for repair. This includes photographs, contacts, documents, messages and other personal or business data.
While MePhone takes reasonable care when handling and repairing devices, data loss can occur as a result of an existing device fault, component failure or the repair process. Customers should also ensure they have access to important usernames, passwords, email accounts, recovery information and backup services before submitting a device for repair.
Australian Consumer Law
This 120-day warranty is provided in addition to any rights and remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in this warranty policy is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded, restricted or modified.
MePhone may update its warranty terms from time to time. The warranty conditions applicable to your repair will be those in effect at the time the repair is completed.
Protecting Your Phone Before & After Your Repair
To help protect your phone and reduce the risk of accidental damage, MePhone recommends:
Use a good-quality protective case that provides protection for the front, sides and back of your phone.Avoid carrying your phone in your back trouser pocket, as sitting on the device can bend or damage the phone or screen. We also recommend avoiding shirt pockets, where phones can easily fall out.Keep a firm grip on your phone and avoid throwing, dropping or placing unnecessary pressure on the device.Do not take your phone into the shower. Even water-resistant devices can be affected by moisture, steam and condensation.Signs of Impact or Drop Damage
Please be aware that the glass does not have to be cracked or broken for a screen or device to have suffered impact damage.
Signs of possible impact or physical damage can include:
Bleeding, blotches or black areas appearing in the LCD.Lines appearing across an LCD or OLED display.Changes in screen colour, including red, blue or green tinting.Ghost touch, where the screen registers touches or opens apps without you touching it.A black screen even though the phone may still be operating. In some circumstances, a black screen can be caused by a software issue and may be resolved with a forced restart. Only part of the screen responding to touch
Damage caused by drops, impacts, bending, pressure, liquid or other accidental damage is not covered by MePhones 120-day repair warranty. However, ghost touch or similar symptoms without evidence of physical or accidental damage may be covered, subject to inspection by MePhone.
Tempered Glass Screen Protectors
If your tempered glass screen protector becomes damaged but the phone's display remains in working condition, please contact MePhone. A replacement screen protector can be supplied and fitted at an affordable cost.
Understanding Screen Types
Genuine / Original – A screen consisting of original manufacturer components.
Refurbished – An original LCD or OLED display that has been professionally refurbished, generally with replacement outer glass.
Aftermarket – A compatible replacement screen manufactured by a third party. MePhone uses quality aftermarket screens where appropriate; however, their appearance, brightness, touch response or performance may differ from an original or refurbished screen on some devices.
FOG – Flexible OLED Glass, generally referring to a soft/flexible OLED replacement display. FOG does not mean "original glass."
Warranty claims are assessed after inspection. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law are not limited by MePhone 120-day warranty.
Software Updates After a Repair
Changes introduced by device manufacturers through software and firmware updates can sometimes affect the operation or compatibility of replacement components, including parts fitted by independent repairers.
The Right to Repair movement continues to advocate for consumers to have greater access to independent repair options, replacement parts, tools and repair information. Right to Repair laws and regulations continue to develop in Australia and internationally.
MePhone cannot guarantee that a future software or firmware update released by a device manufacturer will remain fully compatible with a replacement part that was operating correctly before the update.
If a component stops functioning correctly immediately following a manufacturer software update, MePhone will be happy to inspect the device to help determine whether the issue relates to the replacement part, the software update or another fault.
We recommend checking information about major software updates and any known compatibility issues before installing them, particularly on devices that have previously been repaired.
This policy does not exclude or limit any rights or remedies available to you under Australian Consumer Law.
